Starting off at a new school can be hard,  for new senior Andres Fermo it’s the beginning of a new life. Andres moved with his parents from Venezuela three months ago. “We moved because my dad wants me to go to college here, and the Government in Venezuela wasn’t going well. You can tell that our country isn’t doing well.’’ Andres loves cooking and isn’t sure what college he wants to attend next fall but he’s thinking either UW or a college down by where his father lives. He wants to pursue cooking and hopefully one day become a successful chef. “My parents both moved here with me but my parents are divorced and live in Florida. I’m here in Washington staying with a host family, as a foreign exchange student. America is a lot different than in Venezuela, the school is way bigger and everyone is super friendly,” Fermo said. Fermo plans on finishing off the school year here, and is looking forward to starting off his life in America.
