“Moving from Woodinville to GP was pretty difficult because it meant moving away from everything I have ever known: the friends that grew up with, the city I was familiar with, and the life I created. Moving meant that I had to leave all of the comfortable and familiar aspects behind me. Even though where I live now is a neighboring city to my old town, it’s difficult because your old life is so close to you, but you can’t fully go back. It’s tough how I won’t get to continue growing into a young adult with the friends that helped me grow into person I am today. Of course the transition was difficult, and it was difficult for a while, however people at GP have been so kind to help me feel included. People would come up and help me out, and some people even knew some of my old friends from my old school, immediately sparking a friendship. Everything about GP has been welcoming and supportive. A whole lot can happen in a few months, and I’m so glad that so many people have been able to help me out in becoming comfortable in a new school with a thousand faces.”
