Three days, one power outage, running, and a lot of pressure. The girls Lacrosse just recently had their 2015 tryouts for the Junior Varsity and Varsity teams.

The first day of tryouts consisted of warm ups, running the mile, drills, and a whole lot of scrimmage. The following days were about the same things just with extra drills and different sprints each day. The third day of tryouts started a little different than the girls expected. As they walked down to the field they saw that it was pitch black. They came to find there was a power outage at the school. “We had to organize cars to drive us all to Valley View”. Fallon Hansen said.

As the third day of tryouts ended all the girls went home and waited for the list of who is on what team to be sent out. “I was so nervous,” Sophomore Varsity player Karina Condit said. The list was posted on the Snohomish Girls Lacrosse Team website late Wednesday night but most of the girls found out the following morning. The Junior Varsity team has 12 members, the Varsity team has 16, and there are eight swing members that swing between the two. The first practice started Thursday February 26th, from 7-9. The Varsity girls will now start practicing for their first game against Wenatchee on March 10th, 2015.

The new head coach is Christine Ryan. The JV head coach is Rob Nichols.
