After the first inning jitters let four runs score the Glacier Peak JV softball team decided to pull together with a 15-5 win over the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors. In the bottom of third inning the lady grizzlies got a double play to lead into the top of the fourth where freshman Emily Jameson got an inside the park homerun. Sophomore Madison Howard stopped everything that came her way at first. Howard also hit two triples sending runners home to rack up the score.

Rachel Summers (12) and Emily Jameson (9) were on the fences in the outfield, not letting anything that was hit near them go by. They stopped three fly balls and six grounders for a busy afternoon.

“We were really nervous coming into this game because we have never played Edmonds-Woodway before so we didn’t know what to expect,” Rachel Summers said.

In the final inning of the game the Grizzlies took the field and got two outs at the beginning of the inning. The next two batters hit off the pitcher loading the bases. With the energy level high, nothing was going to let these grizzlies down. A grounder was hit hard to the shortstop Gabby Gilles who bobbled and threw to third for the final out of them game.
