A new trend has emerged. Many students from our school have begun making what some call spam accounts. A spam account is people’s secondary private account on Instagram. Junior Morgan Raymond said, “a spam account is where you can go and post a bunch of random pictures and videos that you can post and just make people laugh. You can always trust your followers so there are no judgments.”

A spam account is a trusted place where you can feel posting pictures no matter how embarrassing they might be. Some people don’t feel safe, or have the confidence to post a bunch of pictures out into their actual account with hundreds or thousands of followers. Junior Noel Eggebraaten said, “my spam account is basically just a chat room that you can post things in. I post things when I am upset, sad, or happy. I have a spam because I have a lot of free time and I like having a place that’s like a side account that is basically just for my super good friends that I can trust not to judge me.”

“Spam us my outlet, my outlet, my escape, my expressions, and my inner cringe”,  junior Blake Beltran said.

You must be sure of who you let follow you. Raymond said, “I usually don’t let just anyone follow me. I only let people who are my closes friends, and sometimes even friends of friends, but only people I know very well and can trust.”
