As the students crowded into the gym for the winter pep assembly, holiday spirit was in the air. Everyone dressed up in holiday colors. Seniors in red, juniors in green, sophomores in yellow, and freshman in white. Wells Fargo presented a check to the school for $5000 which will be spent on scholarships for seniors. All the captains of the fall sports teams did a recap of their team’s seasons. Our cheerleaders showed off their dancing skills. Every class competed in a game of charades. And the winter sports teams debuted their varsity teams. Boys swim and dive came out and mugged Brennan Robinson.

“We were supposed to dance to Grandma Got Ran Over by a Reindeer, but the wrestlers were dressed up as reindeer so we decided to switch songs with them,” Patrick Mcdowell said

“Brennan was supposed to be ‘grandma’ and the wrestlers run him over,” So they came out to Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and the wrestlers danced to Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer. The wrestlers walked around Brennan instead of running him over which caused confusion among spectators.

Boys’ basketball danced to Santa Baby. Girls’ basketball danced to Jingle Bell Rock. A Winter Wish asking  Mr. Blair to sing to his son Baylor Blair was the highlight of the day. Griffin Price  interpretively pranced around throwing confetti while Blair crooned to Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper. The classes all sang Christmas songs. And the entire school sang the fight song to wrap up the assembly.
