Homecoming is this weekend and boys are asking girls in many ways. There are posters, candles, paintings and lots of flowers, but some of these flower proposals can be the hardest to pull off. Gabe Galindo took six sunflowers to each of Katelyn Anderson’s classes and left notes with them.

“When I first got to class and saw the flower on my desk, I was actually very nervous because I didn’t know who it was but then when I got to my next class, then I knew it was from Gabe. I also didn’t know what was happening until my friend Brianna Johnson slipped out a little word and saying how the last note was going to say ‘HOMECOMING’ on it,” Anderson said.

Galindo had to avoid her all day to keep it a surprise but at lunch he couldn’t resist and surprised her with more flowers. He wasn’t sure how he was going to ask her until he had a dream.

“It just came to me in my sleep” Galindo said.

At the end of the day, Galindo doesn’t have a 6th period, so he went out to Anderson’s car and with a gold window color marker and with some friends drew a big “HC?” on her front windshield.

“It took me about 40 minutes, but it was definitly worth it” Galindo said.

Anderson was very surprised and didn’t know how he was going to ask but she was very happy in the end.
