It’s been about two months since the stay-at-home order was placed in Washington state. Many of us have been struggling to find things to do during this time, when we’re not able to do things with our friends. Here are a couple of suggestions for when you’re feeling bored.

  1. Painting, coloring or doing any sort of crafts, are a great way to get your mind off things and get distracted.
  2. Whether it’s cleaning your room, rearranging it or cleaning out your closet, Cleaning is a great thing to do if you want to be productive.
  3. You can use this time to catch up on your favorite Netflix/Hulu shows or you can also spend your time watching your favorite Youtubers.
  4. Baking your favorite dessert is a fun thing and rewarding thing you can also do.
  5. Reading a good book can also take your mind off things. An app that some people use to download books is Amazon kindle. If reading isn’t really your thing, you can also listen to a book you can download the Audible audiobooks & originals app.
  6. Learning to cook your mom’s favorite recipe or anything you’re craving, is a fun way to spend your time. Not only do you feel good about learning something new, but you also get to eat the delicious meal you made. It’s a win, win.
  7. You can use this time to catch up on any homework or assignments you still have to turn in.
  8. Playing a board game or doing a puzzle with your family can be a good way to bond with your family.
  9. Although we can’t see our friends and hang out with them, we can always Facetime them and catch up on anything new.
  10. Many celebrities have been going on Instagram live and a lot have been going live with their fans. Try looking up your favorite celebrity on Instagram to see if they go live. Who knows? You may just be the next person they go live with.
