Recently, iOS 10 was released by Apple, with a swift goodbye to the former iOS 9. Many major changes came with the new release. There is a revamped lock screen, a new Control Center, more uses for 3D Touch, new features for Messaging, and a more organized way to sort photos.

Apple “…chose to focus on improving the overall experience of using the phone,” Devindra Hardawar, writer for Engadget said.

Although some have said that this update is one of the best yet, while others have some concerns. With the new Messaging system, upgraded photo organization, and 3D Touch, iOS 10 takes up valuable space on the phone leaving less for personal storage.

“The emoji’s are so weird. They literally replaced the gun emoji with a water gun, yet they still have the bomb emoji, the knife emoji, and a lot of other ‘dangerous’ emojis. I just don’t understand,” Korynn Baird said.

Then, the speed using apps causes concen. “It slows my phone down and  takes up so much storage,  especially with the new Messaging system, I can barely take a photo without it telling me I’m out of storage,” Julia Murphy said.

Recently, iOS 10.1.1 was just released, and “It looks like Apple is suffering through yet another botched iOS update. While iOS 10.1.1 promises to bring bug fixes and stability improvements, it seems it might bring another, much less welcome new feature — reduced battery life,” Digital Trends said. “I’m tired of letting my phone die at 50 percent,” Fletcher Douglas said.

An after market battery style case may be the best option for ensuring a full day of use.
