Top 5 Best Makeup Dupes

Top 5 Best Makeup Dupes

Makeup lovers like myself love a good makeup product, but we know that they can be quite expensive. That’s why we have to try to find cheaper options with the same quality and that’s what dupes are for.

Foundation

Makeup Forever HD foundation ($43) has a velvety finish and is full coverage, but it can be quite expensive. A cheaper option would be to go for the Ordinary’s Coverage Foundation ($8). This foundation gives a similar finish but is a little shinier. It is full coverage and hides your imperfection even without a concealer.

Mascara

We all love a good mascara like Benefits Mascara They’re Real! ($24) it has a great wand that coats every lash without making them look too full or clumpy, but do we really need to spend 20+ dollars for a mascara that we could get at the drugstore for less than $10. Rimmel’s Scandaleyes Mascara is only $4, and you can get it at almost any drugstore or grocery store. Rimmel’s mascara has a denser brush that you might think will clump on your lashes, but it has the same texture and look as the Benefits They’re Real! Mascara.

Brow pomade

Most people that love pomade know that the queen of all brow pomades is Anastasia Beverly Hills ($18) and coming in for a close second is Benefit Ka-brow ($24), it’s not too expensive but you can’t always drop around $20 for brow pomade. A good dupe would be Colourpop Brow Pot ($6), it has the same texture and doesn’t wear out through the day. I think that the more expensive brands are more expensive because they have built a name for themselves in the “brow business” so they can charge more, but I feel like they aren’t any better than a lot of the cheaper options like Colourpop, NYX, etc.

Translucent powder

Laura Mercier ($24) has the best translucent power out there. Its velvety, little shimmery, and leaves a soft finish without looking cakey. A really good drugstore powder is Maybelline Master Fix Setting + Perfecting Powder it leaves almost the same finish but the only thing I don’t like about it is that it does come out kinda chalky but with a soft velvety finish.
