How is it like being a freshman at GP? How do you like the teachers/campus/school/people?

Natalie: Everyone’s really nice! All of the teachers are really nice and all the kids are reallly nice. It kinda sucks going from the first floor to the third floor over and over again, but otherwise it’s really good.

How was it like transitioning from a private school to public school? Is there a difference in the teaching/homework?

Natalie: It was kinda sucky because you go from like a teeny house to a gigantic school. Yeah, I feel like at my old school, it was a lot faster paced and you did a lot more homework, a lot faster lessons. Here, you take more time and less amounts of homework to almost no homework. Or, the teachers give you a lot of time in class to do it.

What helped in making new friends when switching into this school/school district?

Natalie: Soccer helped a lot! I felt like I made a lot of friends. Even from varsity, I see so many people from varsity all the time and they say hi to me. But also, just like classes in general, when they put seating charts you just make friends with who you sit next to. The Link Crew Day where freshmen come in the day before and get put in groups was also kinda nice because a lot of the girls that were in my group were in my classes too, so I already had friends when I went in.
