Every month, Netflix adds new movies and shows to their collection, but also remove many items. While new seasons of Netflix originals are released, and old beloved films are brought back to mind, there are many things that leave every month that may go unnoticed.

In December, some notable arrivals include:

  • “8 Mile” (Dec. 1)
  • “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective” (Dec. 1)
  • “Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls” (Dec. 1)
  • “Full Metal Jacket” (Dec. 1)
  • “Hitch” (Dec. 1)
  • “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” (Dec. 5)
  • Season 2 of “The Crown” (Dec. 8)
  • All three of Disney’s “Santa Clause” movies (Dec. 12)
  • Season 3 of Netflix Original “Fuller House” (Dec. 22)

Titles that are leaving include:

  • “Picture Perfect” (Dec. 1)
  • “Scary Movie 2” (Dec. 1)
  • “Scary Movie 3” (Dec. 1)
  • “Holes” (Dec. 5)
  • All seasons of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” (Dec. 9)
  • “Nightcrawler” (Dec. 10)
  • Seasons 1-3 of “Dance Academy” (Dec. 19)
  • “Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl” (Dec. 25)

*This list does not include all titles coming and leaving.

For many, this month’s new releases are exciting. Not only are there movies making a Netflix debut (i.e. “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2”), but there are also new Netflix Originals releasing their first season or Original Movies coming out.

Some of these include:

  • “Dark” (Season 1, Dec. 1)
  • “My Happy Family” (Dec. 1)
  • “Voyeur” (Dec. 1)
  • “Erased” (Season 1, Dec. 15)
  • “Indian Detective” (Season 1, Dec. 19)
  • “Dope” (Season 1, Dec. 22)
  • “The Toys That Made Us” (Season 1, Dec. 22)
  • “The Climb” (Dec. 29)

December is a time where lots of people tend to have more time to spend with their families. For some, this may mean watching Netflix together, or maybe on your own. Regardless of what the holidays means for your family, there are definitely many things to binge-watch this month.
