Donald J. Trump declined in the polls due to his hot mic scandal from 2005 which broke a few weeks ago. Many Republican figures who once backed Trump retracted their support of the Republican nominee. Many of his supporters have also began to rethink their vote as seen in recent polls.

In retaliation of the decreasing polls, Nate Silver of FiveThirtyEight.com ran two polls showing that that by the electoral college vote Trump would win against Hillary Clinton 350 – 188 if the 19th amendment was revoked. The 19th amendment has giving women the right to vote.

“I believe women should have the right to vote just as much as men do and deserve to be treated equally. I am a Trump supporter but only because he is the lesser of two evils,” Nick Pannell said.

Supporters have since taken to the internet to specifically point out their own views on the poll. “I would be willing to give up my right to vote to make this happen #repealthe19th,” CT Christian 4 Trump (@TracyOgrodnik) posted on twitter. Women are asking to give up their right to vote in order for the candidate to become president. Republican voters have started “#repealthe19th”.

“I think it is ridiculous to deny someone, anyone their right to vote, man or women. Denying someone that right will set our country back hundreds of years. You would be denying fifty percent of the population,” Glacier Peak history teacher Darrin Divito stated.
