As a concert fanatic, I have been attending concerts since I was very young. Every year, I always look at the upcoming concerts happening near me, and I think that this year especially, there’s going to be an awesome selection of artists performing in Seattle.
Even though the year is well under-way, there are still many concerts coming up. Many big artists are going to stop by in Seattle, specifically either in the Climate Pledge Arena or at Lumen field. One of the biggest artists, Ed Sheeran, will be performing at Lumen Field on Aug. 1, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. His ‘Loop Tour’ is going to feature his eight-studio album, Play, and will include special guests like Myles Smith, Sigrid, and Aaron Rowe, all in attendance depending on the day.
In 2023, I previously attended Ed Sheeran’s massive ‘+-=x÷ Tour’ (The Mathematics Tour), and I enjoyed how he featured a lot of songs that Gen-Z grew up with, such as “Perfect” and “Thinking Out Loud.” The visuals were stunning and decorative, and I can confidently say that the atmosphere was vibrant and exciting. I would recommend going to his concert if you don’t mind people singing along, bright visuals, and massive crowds.
Rising pop artist, Sombr, is visiting Seattle again after previously performing at WAMU theater in 2025. This year, he’s expected to perform on Thursday, Oct. 1 in the Climate Pledge Arena at 7 p.m. His tour, called the ‘You Are the Reason Tour,’ will be focused on his successful debut album I Barely Knew Her and his viral hit song, “Undressed.” Special guests that are speculated to join include Interpol, The Last Dinner Party, Tom Odell, Dove Cameron, and King Princess, all performing on different dates with Sombr.
In 2025, I attended Sombr’s ‘The Late Nights & Young Romance Tour,’ which also supported his debut studio album, I Barely Know Her, that was released in August 2025. I have been a fan of Sombr’s music before he blew up, and I can say that his concert did not disappoint. His energy was ecstatic, with him dancing and singing with passion throughout the concert. It consisted of both hype and slow songs, creating a good variety of music. Overall, I think if you’re a true fan of Sombr, like concerts with emotional intensity but humorous at times, Sombr’s concert is worth considering.
Finally, if you’re looking for a performance that’s very upbeat, full of acrobatics, and has authentic engagement, Benson Boone is a concert worth attending. His concert is planned to be on Tuesday, Aug. 4 at 8 p.m. His tour, called the ‘Wanted Man Tour,’ is his fourth headlining tour, and is based around his album American Heart, while marking his transition into an “arena headliner” era. He’s going to bring special guests like Elliot James Reay and Brooke Combs depending on the dates. As of now, Elliot James Reay is expected to be the special guest for Seattle.
I previously went to his ‘American Heart World Tour’ in 2025 on Oct. 5. I have been listening to Benson Boone since 2022, back when he released his album Walk Me Home, and I was thrilled to see how invested he was in making sure the concert was fun, thrilling, but also personal with the audience. He makes time to speak with his audience, and when I went, there was 10 minutes of him retelling a story he had after speaking with a girl in the audience. It was something I had never seen before, but it made the concert experience better. He also played songs he released before he blew up and danced and did acrobats that were fun to watch. I think that if you enjoy some audience engagement, like theoretical performances, or prefer concerts with good variety in their setlists, Benson Boone is a worthy choice.
