Summer’s ZooTunes

Summers ZooTunes

Into the middle of winter, students begin to long for warm summer days once more. “I love sunny days and I want to not worry about homework. Really excited,” Freshman Cara Lamping said. With students preparing for their summer break already, the Woodland Park Zoo ZooTunes concert lineup was announced to put on calendars.

Welcoming both new and old performers, The Woodland Park Zoo is partnered with BECU and Carter Subaru to celebrate their 40th year of hosting concerts at the zoo this summer.

Concert Lineup:

June 16 – Mother Mother/Cavetown with Destroy Boys

June 20 – Car Seat Headrest

July 21 – The Roots

July 25 – Violent Femmes

July 29 – Norah Jones

July 31 – The Decemberists

August 1 – The Decemberists

August 11 – Sierra Ferrel with Nick Shoulders

August 12 – The Japanese House

August 15 – Built to Spill performing “There’s Nothing Wrong with Love”/Yo La Tengo

August 18 – Waxahatchee

August 19 – Alvvays with the Beths

August 21 – Elle King

The zoo is enjoyed by many and for many reasons. “I love seeing the diversity in species and how wildlife reacts with one another. It’s inspiring and heartening,” Bella Swanson said.

The Woodland Park Zoo uses their ZooTunes each year to raise money for their animal care, for important education programs, and conservation programs, both local and global.

Tickets went on sale February 23 at 10 am. Tickets can only be purchased online and are not sold at zoo gates. Tickets are selling out quickly so make sure to purchase yours before it’s too late!

Whether you have done it plenty of times or never before, feel free to invite family, friends, or anyone you’d like to come and enjoy the Woodland Park Zoo 2024 ZooTunes this summer for a special experience.
