That time of the year has come again as students are preparing their prom evening plans. With finding an outfit, compiling groups, and reserving restaurants, the whole experience can get overwhelming for some. We have compiled a list of some of the prime photo locations in our area so you can get that perfect shot.
Lighthouse Park, Mukilteo, WA
There is no reason to overlook such a beautiful location so close to the prom’s venue itself. Mukilteo Beach offers scenic views by the tranquil waters of the Puget Sound. For those not inclined to freeze themselves near the shores, the beach also has fire pits set up alongside the waters for vibrant shots by a flame. Mukilteo’s lighthouse makes for a beautiful backdrop, and there is ice cream nearby! (who doesn’t love ice cream?)
Kerry Park, Seattle, WA
Though a bit of a longer commute, Kerry Park is THE spot for Seattle skyline photos. Kerry Park is not much of a park, but rather a large open space with views of Elliot Bay. On a clear evening, you may even be photo-bombed by Mount Rainier!
Bellevue Botanical Gardens, Bellevue, WA
If you are looking for a more nature-inspired location, the Botanical Gardens are that friend you can always rely on. The gardens offer a 53-acre stunning array of plant life, and all for free! The gardens have free parking for most cars, however, oversized vehicles, such as limos or party buses, must park about 1/4 mile away at Wilburton Hill Park.
Gas Works Park, Seattle, WA
Gas Works is one of the most unique and iconic parks in Seattle. It offers stunning views of the city skyline, especially during sunset. You will also get a great view of Lake Union as the city lights reflect onto the water. Fair warning, the parking lot is on the smaller side, and can fill up quickly because of how beloved the park is. However, finding nearby parking is not difficult, and a bit of a stroll around the city also makes for fun photos.
