One of America’s largest and popular outdoor Asian food festivals is making its way this summer to Washington. Panda Fest is an Asian revolving festival with experimental activities, tastings, and market fairs that showcase the vibrant food, art, and cultural traditions from Asia. It is held at the Seattle Center on June 6-8, with over 70 asian food vendors, 15+ merchandise vendors, and even cultural performances. Its hours are Friday 4 p.m.-10 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-10 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.-8 p.m., with tickets costing $15. “I’ve always wanted to go, I know they’ve had one in other places, but I didn’t think this festival would come to Seattle, I’m excited to go with my friends,” Madison McSpadden said.
Living up to its name, this festival also includes a celebration of pandas. With mascots strolling the grounds, panda face painting, and even a panda costume parade for those attending. The festival also has a 15-foot inflatable panda, offering unforgettable photo opportunities for attendees. This festival represents a unique opportunity for those in Seattle to immerse themselves in Asian cultures while also enjoying themselves, with many selections of Asian cuisines and entertainment. Panda Fest is a way to unify cultures through food, art, and entertainment. “I think having a festival that also celebrates Pandas and revolves it around them is super cute and what made me interested in this festival,” Olivia Rivera said.
By celebrating diversity, this festival serves as a platform for raising brand awareness for those attending. With its growing impact, Panda Fest also aims to become a nationwide celebration of Asian food and culture. Although this festival had only first launched in New York in 2024, earning great reviews for its abundant and delicious food, it is now making its Seattle debut. Whether you love Asian food or learning about new cultures, the Panda Festival is the place to go.
