With half the year gone by, there have been many concerts from several different artists. The most notable concerts this year have come from artists such as Tyler the Creator, Kendrick, SZA, and several other major artists later in the year. To kick off the year, Tyler the Creator performed at Climate Pledge Arena in March, and Kendrick and SZA performed at the Lumen Field on May 17. Some other big artists who have also announced their tour for 2025 are Lady Gaga, Tate McRae, Post Malone, Katy Perry, Hozier, and many more.
Kendrick and SZA’s concert in Seattle had about 60,941 fans in attendance and grossed $14.8 million, making it the highest-grossing concert by a rapper. “I went to the Kendrick and SZA concert, and I would say my favorite part was when they sang ‘All the Stars’ because it was just such a vibe and had everyone in the stadium singing super loud,” Kade Anderson said.
For the upcoming concerts, people are figuring out which app is the best for buying a ticket for their favorite artists and hitting setbacks with buying tickets. “I don’t remember where I bought my ticket, but I transferred it to Ticketmaster because I like that app more, I’m going to see Creed in August with my girlfriend and I’m very excited because I love divorced dad music and I can’t wait to hear my favorite song ‘Rain’ live,” Jesse Neary said.
Makayla Kowalski gets excited to see one of her favorite artists in concert but struggled to get her tickets sent to the right email. “I’m going to see Ty Myers on Friday and I’m extremely excited because I’ve been waiting for this concert since February and I had bought my ticket on Seat Geek, but it was sent to the wrong email, so I ended up having to buy another one, but I’m in constant email to get the second ticket back.” Kowalski said.
Katy Perry’s “Lifetimes” tour started April 23 in Mexico City and will make its way to Seattle climate pledge arena on July 21, and Tate McRae also started her “So Close To What” tour in Mexico City on March 18 and will be performing two nights in Seattle at the climate pledge on Oct. 2 and 3.
