Preparing for AP tests

Preparing for AP tests

Many students have been working hard in their AP Classes all year in prep for the AP tests. With different dates for different class testing, kids are doing their last push efforts into studying in order to do well on these tests.
Glacier Peak offers around 18 AP courses, and each one has an AP test to take. However, these tests are optional. Taking an AP class gives you the option to sign up for college credit for the class, so if you aren’t feeling well about taking a big test or if test similar to these gives you anxiety, you can still get credit for the class. “I knew I would still get credit for the classes without taking the AP exams, so I decided not to sign up for them. I kind of anticipated hitting a slump before May too so I’m glad I didn’t take the AP test,” Ciara Mendoza

To prepare for these tests there are multiple YouTube channels specifically made to help study for these tests. Some channels for AP History classes that will help you study are Heimler’s History, FREEMAN- PEDIA, and Crash Course. All these channels offer unit and overall reviews to help you remember what is going on in the review. MarcoLearning is also one YouTube channel that offers videos on almost all AP classes. Teachers have even been known to show videos from these channels because they offer in-depth explanations of the units.

The biggest thing to remember for the AP test is to be confident in yourself. Many students stress themselves too much and end up not doing the best they could on the test because of all the pressure they put on themselves. In order to do well good sleep and food can help your brain prepare and put you in the right mindset to do as well as you can.
