Every year on NBA media day it is always a surprise of what haircut Jimmy Butler will have. It has been a staple for a couple of years now, even people looking forward to the date. The question is, which one is the best? The answers vary from student to student.  “The Emo cut is the best; it just looks good on him,” Bradyn Engstrom said.

The emo cut was this years haircut. It was a shock to everybody when Butler showed up like that. He did this because he was in a state where he was one with his emotions, “My favorite is the short black and blonde dreads, they look hot on him,” Jaylen Mills said.

Jimmy Butler had the dreadlocks in the 2022 season, come the playoffs came around, the NBA was putting up the pictures of the best players, when they put up Jimmy Butler’s NBA 2k picture because they couldn’t use the media day picture. The one and only is now 34 years old, and in his 14th year of playing, that means he has had 14 years to choose what hairstyle to have, but he cannot just stick to one. It is not easy to decide which hairstyle is the best. everyone has a different opinion. “The sweatband with the braids is the best, because all the other ones are bad,” Garret Kilgore said.

He has played for four NBA teams, the most notable being the Heat. He was drafted by the Bulls, went to the Timberwolves, and was traded in the middle of the year to the 76rs. In his career, he is averaging 18.2 points per game, the average being 8.7 points per game, but which haircut was he the best in? In 2017-2019 with the Timberwolves, he was averaging 21.8 points per game with his regular no headband hair up haircut. But what looks the best on him? “The emo cut is the best, he looks hot,” said Ryder Higginbotham.

People tend to forget how long his career has been. his career has been as long as some people at this school have been alive. With 13,945 total points in his career, he ranks 189th of all time, and he is still playing, where some people would have retired already. “I think Butler is bound to win a championship and am exited to see what new hairstyles he will use in the future,” Jeremiah Hedzik said.
