Senior Kaitlyn Allan spends her Thursdays in a different way than most people would. She volunteers at the local greyhound rescue, Greyhound Pets Inc. “Big trucks drop them off covered in scars and bruises, and some of them even have broken legs,” Allan said. Once the dogs make their journey to the rescue center, they nurse them back to health until they are ready to be adopted. “I just love dogs and I think they all deserve a loving home. No dog should be treated like that,” Allan said.
