“I started baking when I was 11, it was when I really started to get into it. I think the inspiration is my grandma, she’s always made these cakes, and ever since I was little, I loved them, so when it hit COVID times I started to become a lot more interested, I would start with cookies, and it gradually got more challenging. I was always in the kitchen, but never independently until high school, I took my first culinary class and I fell in love with baking. So, for the past three years I’ve been baking cakes, cupcakes, and anything that will give me a challenge! My favorite thing I’ve made so far was this delicious Lemon Blueberry and Cheesecake cake, it was three layers and amazing; it was for my cousin’s baby shower and the outside of it was gorgeous. I’ll never forget how fun it was to make, though all of baking is a bit of hit or miss, you can always add your own special touch! You’re in control and free to do what you want, so it gives you a sense of freedom.”
