“I joined badminton in my sophomore year because I didn’t play any other sports, and it seemed really fun and inclusive. When I first joined, there weren’t that many people, but it was still really fun. I got to make a lot of friends. Now it’s my junior year, and the amount of people has almost doubled, and it is still really fun. Everyone gets the chance to play and everything, and way more people are included. We won our first two matches this year 11-0, which is really good. We’ve had a few rough ones after that though. I think it motivates me and my partner to do better next time. Tori and Devito are super fun, but at the same time, they are competitive and keep us all included. I am a double with my friend, Dylan, we have a really good bond. Badminton to us is something for fun, and playing with her lifts up the mood, we’re laughing when we are losing, but also laughing when we’re winning,” Kiara Gamble said.
