“I have been playing softball since I was five years old. I got into it because my parents are big sports people, and they love the game of softball and I think, without them, I wouldn’t be where I’m at right now. I play for a really high organization that travels around the United States of America, where we play other high-level teams and get spotted by colleges. And from that organization, it also helped me get on the varsity Glacier Peak softball team as a freshman starter last year, where I also got my award as an honorable mention. The organization I play for is called the Washington Lady Hawks. It’s an organization that’s lasted for a while. When I first got into softball, actually, I was five, so I did T-ball, but I just built up from there. My first ever select team was called the Snohomish Socks, and then just kept going from there. One of my favorite memories would probably be getting to state as a freshman with my high school softball team and getting to do the activities there and just playing,” Lexi Garcia said.
