“Glacier Peak High School is crazy! In France, the high school is so little, and we have no money, no activities, no sports, nothing. It’s just work, work, work, but here, you can just enjoy life. Everybody is cool, everybody is kind and everybody welcomes me. I really love it here, and I don’t want to leave. If I can stay, I will stay, but it is required to go back to France, so I cannot. After high school, my goal is to get a scholarship for college, so I need to go back to France, work a lot, get a scholarship, and come back here for college. That is my dream. Here, I usually go to the gym after school, but I will start baseball, so I will see how it’s going. It will be my first time trying baseball. I’ve never tried it, I don’t know the rules, I know nothing, I’ve just seen it in movies. In France, I played rugby for eleven years, tennis for two years, boxing for two years, and judo for two years. Here I tried wrestling, I tried football, and now I will try baseball,” Floquet said.
