“For distance practices we have morning swim practice at the aquatic center, and I’ve liked them a lot more than I thought I was going to. The girls get better mileage in the pool without the impact and risk of injury as running on the ground could have. After we swim, we all get ready together in the locker room there and I get a ride from one of the upperclassmen back to school where we get to eat bagels in our breakfast room. In the afternoon practices, I like when we go on 45-minute runs more than the speed workout days. I also like going to the Saturday invites because it’s easier when you don’t have school before the meet. I’ve had a lot more PR’s than I thought I was going to.”
