“For college, I am going to major in computer science, going into data science with a backup of mechanical engineering. To prepare for it, I’ve done robotics by helping design and build robots, and then helped program the team’s scouting app. When I first joined robotics, I got really interested in it, and I thought that I could get a really good career in it. I want to go to UW, the Bothell location. I did think about some UCs but didn’t end up applying. The prerequisites for my major are a lot of computer science courses and a lot of math courses. The hardest one was Calc BC; just everything about it was difficult for me personally. But I’m feeling pretty good, all the effort I put in, and high school is building up to college. No specific company I want to work at yet, but hopefully I’ll have one soon,” Patel said.
