“I’ve been playing hockey for a while. My dad plays hockey. Growing up, I used to go to his games a lot and watch those, and I was pretty interested. So one day I was like ‘Dad, can I try hockey?’, and then he let me and I stuck with it. And it’s been about 8 years now that I’ve been playing. I have a game every Saturday in the league. The league is like an hour away for the furthest games, and we just kind of travel around and play. It’s pretty fun. Our team messes around a lot, and we get in trouble for it, but it’s fun. At tournaments, we hang out in the hotel room and play stupid games. I think we got a noise complaint once, but it’s pretty fun. Instead of Kraken games, I go to a lot of Silvertips games because they’re cheaper and, in my opinion, they’re more fun. There’s more energy. Usually, I just go for the entertainment, I don’t really try to learn from it,” Gaedcke said.
