“I like band because it lets me express my interest in music while also having the support of people around me. Another thing I love is the skills you acquire from band, like learning how to read music has really come in-handy for learning other instruments. I would say the reason I picked clarinet in the first place was because of the beautiful melody it can make, but now that I have had about four years with this instrument, I still love the sound and the hand work it entails to play is weirdly satisfying. I also love that you can go higher like flutes but lower like saxophone.”
