Recently, in the beginning of November a movie called “Murder On The Orient Express” came to theaters. It’s a great suspenseful movie that ends in the biggest plot twist that I have seen in awhile.
The movie is based on a 1934 novel by Agatha Christie. It is about a detective who goes by the name, Hercule Poirot. He is considered the best detective in the world, no detail goes past him. Hercule Poirot is always busy, always traveling the world to work on some of the most complicated case, but of course they are easy to him. He finally decides to go on a vacation and was promised that there would be no crime on the Orient Express. With his luck the train is stopped by snow and there is a murder on the train. Leaving Hercule with only a couple of days to solve the murder mystery. He interrogates all the passengers so he can find the killer before he or she strikes again.
Before I saw the movie I read about it, people were convinced that nobody would go see it because most people already knew the ending, but young people, such as myself, aren’t familiar with this story and this movie is very appealing to us. As I watched the movie my opinions kept changing about who did it, it kept me on my toes and got me excited.
Director Kenneth Branagh proves himself again with yet another great movie with the ideal cast and the screenwriter Michael Green, one of the most famous writers in Hollywood. The characters are portrayed very well and the actors match the characters perfectly both in looks and personality.
It is safe to say that I would rather recommend this to my peers rather than adults since most of the people older than 30 that I know did not like it, since they have all seen the original and knew the ending.
