These are a few places to go if you’re short on cash and want to get out of the house this summer.

1. Goldmyer Hot Springs

If you’re up to a little bit of a drive, visiting the Hot Springs in North Bend is a great trip. While you have to make reservations in advance it is a great activity that does not cost a lot. Children 17 years and younger are free and anyone 18 years or older is $15. You can also camp for $5 a night per a person who is 18 years or older, and free for anyone younger. All in all its a pretty great deal for not a lot of money. You can find more info here: http://www.goldmyer.org/visiting.php?m=5

2. Downtown Snohomish

This one is a little bit of a closer drive but still just as fun. You can visit the art museum or browse through stores. They also have a sorts of events you can attend. Visit here to find out more about upcoming events and things to do: https://www.historicdowntownsnohomish.org/events

3. Centennial Trail

This 30 mile trail in Snohomish is a completely free and completely fun. You can walk, jog, bike, and even horse back ride down the trail. Along the way there are even picnic tables and benches as well as bathrooms. Visit their site to learn more: https://snohomishcountywa.gov/facilities/facility/details/centennialtrail-33

4. Forest Park

If you’re looking something in Everett, this might be the place for you. Forest Park has trails, tennis and basketball courts, and even has a pool and a petting zoo. And if you have to bring little siblings, they also have a normal park and a water park, completely free. Learn more here: https://everettwa.gov/Facilities/Facility/Details/Forest-Park-23

5. Kirkland Waterfront

Again this one is kind of a drive, but there are lots of things to do if you’re up to spending a bit and other free actives if you’re not. Wow Wow Lemonade is right next to the water and you can get a 16oz lemonade for $4, and there are other food and drinks places around. Although, if you are looking for something completely free, you can also bike, walk along the dock, and or visit some of the art galleries.
