If you are going back in person and plan on taking the bus to school here are the five rules students and drivers must go by to follow the states precautions that the district is taking to keep you safe and healthy during your ride.

  1. Personal protective equipment for drivers
  • Drivers must always wear a face covering
  • If a cloth mask is worn, the driver must also wear a face shield while loading and unloading students

2. Personal protective equipment for students

  • Students must properly wear face coverings while riding the bus
  • If a student does not have a face covering, the driver will offer a disposable mask to the student
  • Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrance of each bus

3. Ventilation on the bus

  • Roof hatches will be open
  • Windows will be cracked open to provide air movement and ventiliation

4. Bus loading and seating

  • Students will load and be seated from the rear of the bus to the front of the bus
  • Seating will be assighned
  • Household and family members are encouraged to be seated together

5.  Cleaning and disinfecting protocols

  • Cleaning and disinfecting will take place when the bus parks at base after morning, mid-day, and afternoon runs
  • Drivers will clean after every bus route by wiping down rails, and backs of seats with disinfecting wipes
  • Drivers will follow bus cleaning protocol when disinfecting seat belts and car seats
