Seniors have graduated and Sophomores are now able to park in the parking lot at GP. With the Seniors graduated spots in the parking lot have opened up for Sophomores to get a pass from Mac for free, all they have to do is sign a contract with their car info and show their license and they can get a temporary pass for the last few days of school.
With this age group being newer to parking in the lot many juniors have different opinions of this happening, some are slightly frustrated when their go-to spot is taken in the morning and have to park somewhere else or because some of them don’t know how to park very well yet. Others think this is helpful for them, saying it will prepare them to know how things work next year. “I think it will help them for next school year and get them used to the parking lot and how it works.” Olivia Conley said.
This new privilege that the sophomores have earned, some have shared how much they love parking at school because of how much easier it is to get themselves to and from school, Marcy Mossburg explains that she loves to get hype for the day by listening to her music on the way to school and how the traffic after school is the best when trying to leave. “I love driving to school in the mornings. Listening to my own music to get hype for the day makes my mornings so much better. the only downside, getting out. leaving after school is a nightmare.” Mossburg said.
Now these passes are only temporary until the end of the year and then all sophomores have to wait until they can join the junior parking lottery at start up, to join the lottery they have to show their license and then once in they wait to see a paper posted up with names of who got a spot, they then take a contract and have to pay the cost of $75 at the bookkeeping office where they will then get their sticker to place in the windshield of their car where its easy for Mac to see.
