Five Horror Movies To Watch

The first holiday of the fall season has officially arrived, and Halloween is exciting as ever. Whether you enjoy watching with friends, alone, or your significant other, horror movies will always give a scare. Some of these movies just came out and some are just classics.

  1. The Nun came out on September 7, 2018. It is about “a priest with a haunted past and a novice on the threshold of her final vows are sent to Vatican to investigate the death of a young nun in Romania and confront a malevolent force in the form of a demonic nun” (imdb.com).
  2. The Smiling Man was released in 2015 and is about a young girl who is home alone and faces evil with an insidious menace.
  3. A Nightmare on Elm Street is a classic. The 1984 American Slasher film is about a psychopath Fred Krueger is known to have murdered several people and soon he will strike again but, Nancy Thompson and her friends are being killed in their dreams.
  4. Halloween is also a classic. There are two parts to this movie, one was filmed in 1978 with Michael Meyers as the antagonist and Laurie Strode who is the main character who is almost killed. Now in 2018, forty years later, he has returned but Laurie is more than ready for him and to take revenge while trying to stay alive.
  5. The Shining was filmed in 1980. It is about a man named Jack Torrance who lives in an isolated hotel in the mountains with his family. He soon gets “cabin fever”, which slowly makes him go insane. Soon Jack goes crazy and tries to murder Wendy, his wife, and his son, Danny.
