Janet Jackson is coming to Seattle to perform at Climate Pledge Arena on June 21, 2023. This will be her first tour show here since Sept. 27, 2017, when she performed at the Key Arena, which is now known as Climate Pledge Arena. The tour will begin in Hollywood, Florida and stop at 31 other venues until finally ending in Seattle. Opening and joining her on her tour will be famous hip-hop artist Ludacris.

Janet Jackson is an American singer and actress whose mature version of dance-pop music made her one of the most popular recording artists of the 1980s and ’90s. Her full name is Janet Damita Jo Jackson; she was born May 16, 1966, and is the youngest of nine siblings at age 56. Jackson was a regular on the 1970s TV comedy series “Good Times” and later as a teenager in the dance-oriented series “Fame”. Her recording debut was in 1982, leading up to the release of her follow-up album in 1984. After the first two albums Jackson took control of her career and moved out on her own to start developing her own sound and style.

Ticket presale started Dec. 13 on Ticketmaster while tickets for the general public started selling Dec. 16, but tickets can now be bought as presale from Ticketmaster for the Seattle show. Resale ticket prices range from seventy-six dollars to one thousand two hundred dollars.

This will be Jackson’s first time on the road in four years and her ninth and final concert tour. The first national tour Jackson had was “The Rhythm Nation World Tour” which started March 1, 1990, and ended November 16, 1990, and has a total of 131 shows. The album this tour was associated with was “Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814”, the box office made 28.1 million, and 58.28 million in 2023 dollars. The first city she ever played in was Miami on March 1, 1990, and the last city she will ever play in will be Seattle on June 21, 2023.
