Lotuses and RedBull Italian sodas have taken over as some of the most popular drinks at Glacier Peak and many other schools in our area. Many students have even come together to create “The List” which is a shared note.  There is also a custom snapchat story called “Flavor Reviews” where everyone can post and rate the flavors that they try. So far, there are 60+ people on the story and 11 people that can contribute to the list. The most popular places in our area that you can purchase these drinks from are Buffalo Espresso, The Milk House Coffee Co, Highmark Espresso, Jenny’s Express Java, Airfield Espresso, Grounds Coffee Company, and many more. The prices can range depending on size from $4-$7. The best part about these drinks is that they are so customizable. You get to choose from red, pink, blue, and purple lotus(they mostly just affect the color not really the flavor), then you can also choose as many flavors as you would like. People also tend to add cream and whip, coconut milk, lemonade, or a variety of juices. Blended lotuses are even better for a hot summery day though. These drinks are great alternatives for people who want to avoid dairy or coffee but still want caffeine. Although a popular coffee beverage from Buffalo Espresso is a caramel granita. Which is basically a blended coffee but better. So far, this is “The List” that everyone has contributed to. It consists of flavor combinations that people have tried and/or want to try. Highly recommend giving them a try when you get the chance.
