“My sister and my mom have both been super musical people my entire childhood, so I guess I’ve just been around it my entire childhood and then over COVID I learned how to play guitar and drums so that kind of just like sparked everything and it all came from something I picked up when I was bored and realized I’m really passionate about it. I’ve been singing since I was little since I was really little and began taking it seriously like four-ish years ago. Well, not seriously but like started taking voice lessons and then I started writing my own music like A LOT a year ago. My Mom and sister both were preforming all the time, I used to be a theater kid I did shows and stuff. And even when I as super little I did like dance and stuff, but I started preforming independently like a year and a half ago. I think music has always been my way of communicating what isn’t easy to do verbally and what’s like, hard and I mean music is a very vulnerable thing. And it’s the easiest way for me to articulate. My favorite part pf drumline is probably the community. I mean it was really really stressful to be on snares as a freshman that was kinda something I had to get used to the workload and responsibility that goes with it. We have a nice friendship kind of like family environment and as jokey play-fight we are with each other I think we do have a nice environment where its like you know you can genuinely go to someone if you need help with something, so I think that’s a really good think, its just a super friendly place.”
