On November 20 Adele released her third album titled “25” after a three year hiatus from recording. Just like her other albums, “25” is a nostalgic album. “Twenty Five is about getting to know who I’ve become without realizing,” Adele wrote on Twitter.

The album’s single “Hello” is available for streaming on the release date whereas the rest of the 11 songs on the album are not available through streaming devices. In order to listen to the album, you must purchase it. The album is jam packed with soulful content that conveys emotions through the tone and the song lyrics.

Adele continues making music about life experiences which audiences relate to.  “I made the decision to go into becoming who I’m going to be forever without a removal van full of my old junk,” Adele posted on Twitter.

The album is full of songs about overcoming obstacles and making up for lost time. Specifically her song “When We Were Young,” speaks to her past. “My last record was a breakup record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record,” she wrote.

“25” is following Adele’s album “21” which was on the Billboard 200 chart for 24 nonconsecutive weeks. That album recently was named No.1 on Billboard’s greatest albums of all times list. The single “Rolling in the Deep” from her album “21” was placed at No.1 on the Billboard 100 chart. In comparison, her new single “Hello” released on Oct 23 immediately spiked to No.1 on the Billboard 100 chart upon release.

The album has been doing extremely well since the release. According to Nielsen Music, it has sold 3.38 million copies in its first week in the US alone. Adele’s album immediately became the top selling album in the U.S for this year after only being out for a short time.
