Along with Valentine’s Day, singer and songwriter Beabadoobee officially released her new song, “Glue Song.” First debuting the song live and unreleased in October, she sang it in Brooklyn, New York on her Beatopia tour. She then posted the song on Instagram reels the next day, which gathered excitement for the song to officially come out. Many fans were anticipating the drop of the song for months and waited till they could hear the full song on Spotify.

Bea says that Glue Song is about finally finding someone special to love, referring to the love she has for her boyfriend. The music video was filmed in her hometown in the Philippines, showing further that her love feels like home. The music video brings some attention to the overlooked country of Philippines and shows not just the tourist beaches but the community and family aspects of it. The song name is referencing her lyric “stuck forever by the glue” which was her cute way of saying she is stuck by love and how she doesn’t want it to end.

This song is different from her past music; while her mellow and slow indie music type of beat remains, this is one of her first popular love songs. Her more popular music she has put out before has been sadder songs with talk about heartbreak and not feeling like enough. Glue Song gives a new emotion to Bea, and it makes fans feel like we are growing alongside her.

Bea has been making strides in her career as of recently, with her song nearing 20 million streams. She will also be opening for Taylor Swift at some of the locations on her world tour. We don’t know when her next album or song drop is but all we can tell is that her career is on an upwards stroke and doesn’t seem to be coming down any time soon.
