The next season is upon us. Both girls and boys basketball started their games with wins left and right and all teams undefeated. At every varsity game the fans are in the stands. Basketball may not be as well-attended as football,  however when it comes to night games, the students and parents cheers fill in the gym.

JV basketball games are played at the same time as the C-Team games beginning at 5:45. begins   “I love cheering on the varsity teams because it’s always so hyped up,” Junior Gracie Moore said.

On December 1st boys Varsity beat Snohomish 54 to 53, the JV beat Snohomish 67 to 37, and the boys’ C team beat Snohomish 70 to 26. On December 4th, the Grizzlies pounded the Jackson Timberwolves  with final scores for Varsity  52 to 47, JV 62 to 32, and C-team  50 to 36.

Last night, Boys Varsity beat Lake Stevens 67-41, Junior Varsity won with a score of 68-33, and C team won 53-26. The teams’ hope to keep the streak alive.

On November 30th girls varsity started off the season with a win against Roosevelt 69 to 58. The JV team slaughtered the Roughriders by over 50 points. The final score was 77-17. Roosevelt does not have a C-Team.

On December 2nd, the girls Varsity beat Snohomish 43 to 37. The JV Team won and 45-13 and C-Team won 55-26. Their last game was Friday December 4th against Monroe. Varsity won 58 to 54 and C- Team won 51-17.  “The fans are really loud and positive and I love having them in the stands,” swing player Jenna Mclean said. The next game is Thursday, December 10 at home against Marysville.
