Nintendo has changed the name of the NX to the Switch and released a game trailer for the console.

The Switch by Nintendo has released a trailer of a console that uses game cartridges instead of discs, they are making it more like the NES and N64. That means the console won’t be backwards compatible with any game system, including the 3DS even though they are making it with cartridges.

Nintendo showed a number of games such as Mario Kart, a new Mario game, Splatoon, Skyrim, also Breath of the Wild. Although they were shown in the trailer, “you shouldn’t assume what you saw on the video represents actual game footage and further specifics on first-party games will be provided later,” said Nintendo. Breath of the Wild is so far the only confirmed game coming out on for the Switch.

The system is also portable you can take it in the car or on a plane, unlike the Wii U game pad how it has to stay in a certain radius of the console. You can remove the two controllers from the side of the tablet and play two players if any more are on the tablet and you couldn’t see where you are. But on the TV you would be able to play more players in party games like Mario and such. Couldn’t imagine why they would go from five players (or eight players in Super Smash Bros Wii U) to two players.

Since the release is still a while away the price still isn’t set.  The game should be coming out March 2017 so it won’t make your Christmas list but it is something to look forward to.
