This October Bob’s Corn and Pumpkin Farm seems to be a perfect short season job, explains junior Gabbie Gobel. Multiple students are now working at Bob’s for the holiday season. Their jobs vary from working at Sarah’s Sweets, the Corn Roaster, the Apple Cannon, the Country Store, or the Kettle Corn stand. Junior Nate Walchenbach said, “this is my first year working at Bob’s, and I really like it. Right now I am working at the Apple Cannon.”

Tractor girl, junior Erica Lane explains that working at Bob’s is the perfect holiday job. She explains that everybody on the farm is super welcoming, and nice. Bob’s corn is open during the month of October seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., but on Friday and Saturday nights they have the night maze, entry from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The maze itself is two and a half square miles. Each year Bob, owner of the family farms mows a new design into the corn. This year the design of the maze was a fire pit. Lane said, “I really like the designs of the corn maze, they are always very unique and interesting.”

Bob’s Corn has multiples snacks to munch on. Gobel said, “Bob’s has so many sweet treats.” The food various from fresh made kettle corn, caramel apples, freshly made donuts, honey roasted corn and squash. The most popular three food items are the kettle corn, the sweet roasted corn, and pumpkin and apple cider donuts. Lane explains that her favorite food item would have to be the pumpkin and apple cider donuts.
