Junior Zach Hatch scoring half of the points at his first Varsity game against the Snohomish Panthers, leads the Grizzlies to a victory. It’s the day of his first game and when asked how he felt before Hatch said,

“I was really excited and I wasn’t nervous at all.”

The stands are filling up, the band is blasting music and it’s getting close to game time. To prepare for the game,

“the whole team was passing the ball around in the locker room,” Hatch said.

The crowd is soaring and the game has started. Hatch hits his first 3 pointer of the game and the announcer said 3 POINTS HATCH which stuck and he said it after every 3 pointer Hatch got. Hatch’s shots have to come from support from the team and when asked who contributed the most Hatch said,

“Grant Peltier and Brady Southard passed the ball to me the most.”

Firing off 8, 3 pointers, to add 24 points to the score, he now holds the school record for most 3 pointers in a game. The score being 58-44, the Grizzlies beat their cross-town rival. After beating Snohomish, Hatch said that,

“it was a very fun game and it was a grand moment for the team.”

Since this was the first game of the season, there are many more games to come and we’ll have to see what Hatch has in store for us.
