Twas the night before the Jackson rivalry when all through the school, not a creature was stirring not even a grizzly. The hoops all hung in the gymnasium with care, in hopes that victory soon would be there.

The Grizzlies slaughtered the Timberwolves in the den, 60-38. Jake Middendorf was awarded MVP scoring 14 points.

“Our team came out with a lot of energy fired up against our rival. We had so much energy from our last game and knew that it would carry into this game,” Middendorf said. The crowd was amped up in their white out gear chanting throughout the game.

“The crowd was great and they kept us hyped throughout the game,” Hatch said.

Their energy helped Hatch nail a 3 pointer at the half adding to the score of 31-18.

“Since we didn’t play Jackson last year, it was exciting. Jackson was smack talking us which made us play even harder,” Hatch said.

The boys went into the locker room with their heads held high. Hatch trailed right behind Middendorf with 13 points.

“When we went into the locker room at the half, we knew that we had to keep our energy up and shut down certain players,” Middendorf said.

The team concluded their third quarter 48-26. The subs went in knowing that they would win. The players guarded heavily and scored 12 points in the 4th quarter. The boys concluded the 2nd half allowing 20 points.

The next home game is December 12th at 5:30pm for Junior Varsity and 7:00pm for Varsity against Shorewood.
